Capilano is a conscientious and vibrant community located on the cusp of Edmonton’s scenic river valley.
Our residents enjoy unparalleled access to the city’s parks and trails for walking, biking, picnicking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing; only 20 minutes from downtown.
The Capilano Community League is located in Amiskwaciwâskahikan ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Edmonton) on Treaty 6 territory. We honour the traditional meeting grounds, gathering places and travelling routes of the First Peoples whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries, including the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot and Métis who have a rich history on the land now known as Capilano. We are honoured to live and build community on this land and appreciate the opportunity to learn more about this history.
