Movement Journey with Pearl Der
Pearl’s personal movement journey began when she realized that it is necessary for the mind, body and spirit to be connected as we move. She believes that intelligent movement empowers and heals. She is a life long learner with a keen interest in how we developed our movement skills as babies and toddlers.
Pearl’s movement classes are intended to be a movement experience where the intention is to find the missing or blind spots. The group works diligently to reclaim these blind spots and recover range of motion in all of the joints.

Train in a friendly, supportive, family-like environment with an internationally ranked master-level instructor with 46 years experience in the martial arts. Teaching old-school Okinawan Goju-ryu karate, we offer a workout for your mind and body – it’s been scientifically proven! Karate helps build self-confidence, focus and self-discipline.
Karate will help improve flexibility, balance, and coordination, and yes, karate gives you skills to aid in self-protection. We offer classes for youth and families as well as classes for adults. And for those who want a deeper, more challenging experience, we also teach kobudo, the indigenous weapons art of Okinawa.
Kids 7-12 can build their inner champion in our youth and family class! Our youth curriculum will help them get fit and develop skills to help them excel in the world of sport karate. Train to compete or train to get stronger - by yourself or with a parent.
The adult class dives into the world of classical Okinawan karate. Think turbocharged "Miyagi-do" - exploring the old school karate -kicks, punches, locks, strikes, throws. Join for fitness, self-defence or both- women and men are welcome. Ages 13 and up.
For more of a mind-body workout, try Ryukyu kobudo. This ancient art helps refine technique, challenges you to expand range of motion and develop a deeper body awareness. For ages 13 and up.
